Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Brought Full Transparency to Hospital Reagent Procurement Across Multiple Hospitals

Shanghai Pharmaceuticals, a comprehensive medical supply chain company, was struggling to manage the procurement of scientific research reagents across hospitals due to inconsistent processes, lack of funding transparency, and a cumbersome multi-channel procurement flow. Each hospital had its own way of managing orders, and there was no master data system to align them.

Joget’s partner, Valuprosys Technology built a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management System on Joget that syncs with each hospital’s supply chain management system, providing full visibility into reagent funding, automating order settlement, and delivering a one-stop procurement and delivery workflow. The result: standardised pricing, better cost control, and stronger partnerships with hospital clients.

Challenges CHALLENGES

Fragmented Procurement, No Transparency

  • Struggled with the procurement process due to the lack of streamlined operations and numerous channels to navigate.

  • Lack of transparency in reagent funding, leading to inconsistencies in adhering to standards across hospitals and difficulties to enforce cost control.

  • Lack of experience in system construction, struggling to digitalize business processes for higher efficiency.

Solutions SOLUTIONS

One-Stop Procurement System

Built on the Joget platform, a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management System was deployed in each hospital to align the scientific research reagent procurement process with the hospital’s management system.

As a result, Shanghai Pharmaceuticals has significantly improved its procurement workflows, storage management, and cost control, with a master data system that syncs with the scientific research reagents, purchase orders, and storage information of each hospital’s Supply Chain Management System.
