NSK Bearings Built a Digital Job Requisition System, Eliminating Paper Forms Across Departments

NSK Bearings, one of the world’s leading bearing manufacturers with origins in Japan dating back to 1916, was running its job requisition process on paper forms that required manual approvals, physical signatures, and were at constant risk of being lost.

Joget’s partner, Thaitizens built a Job Requisition App on Joget in two weeks, integrated with Alfresco for document management, that converted all forms to digital, enabled remote approvals with electronic signatures, and automated the organisational role assignment process. Employees now manage the entire requisition workflow without paperwork, and the risk of document loss has been eliminated.

Challenges CHALLENGES

Paper Forms, Manual Signatures

  • Difficult to constantly keep track of and analyze business processes for timely improvement.

  • Inadequate control over work progress, resulting in delays, human errors, and the inability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • High risk of losing or misplacing critical paper documents, which could lead to significant business disruptions and compliance issues.

  • Relied on paper-based forms for its business operations with manual approval from designated personnel, which was labor intensive and time-consuming, eventually resulting in decreased efficiency and productivity.
