A Top Logistics Security Company Connected 6,000+ Fleets Globally and Gained Real-Time Visibility with IoT

A freight and logistics security company operating across Ireland, Europe, South Africa, and North America was managing global shipments through fragmented IoT sensors, multiple internal apps, and manual workflows. Real-time alerts were unreliable, reporting tools could not extract live data, and the interface was too complex for user adoption.

Joget’s Partner, Mokxa Technologies built an AI-IoT platform on Joget that connected 6,000+ fleets and drivers, integrated 3,000+ GPS devices and sensors, introduced live KPI dashboards, Google Maps tracking, and geofencing, and configured automated incident alerts tied to SLAs. Their customers, including supply chain companies and security teams, now have full end-to-end shipment visibility from a single screen.

Challenges CHALLENGES

Fragmented IoT, No Live Visibility

  • Costly operations around thousands of sensors, fragmented technologies, and processes to manage global shipments. Ineffective alerts often failed to promptly inform stakeholders about issues like trip delays/route deviations, hampering timely corrective actions

  • Unreliable concurrent trips monitoring during peak times due to poor interplay between IoT sensors and the alert system. No live KPIs. Reporting tools were incapable of extracting real-time logistics data to optimize supply chain performance. Complex user interface on the existing system resulted in low user adoption, causing reporting delays and human errors

  • Time / cost-intensive to create, customize, schedule multiple shipments during peak logistics period. Poor controls over sensitive data concerning unauthorized access, compromising data integrity and client trust

Solutions SOLUTIONS

AI-IoT Supply Chain Platform

Using Joget, Mokxa built and deployed a revolutionary AI-driven platform for the client to automate logistics workflows, compliance, communication, reporting, intelligence gathering and security tasks by integrating data & processes across IoT devices and systems on a single source of truth. By providing real-time, intermodal freight tracking & security monitoring, the platform is used by the client and their customers (supply chain companies, manufacturers, and security & planning teams) to monitor, supervise, and coordinate shipments & supply chain systems, all in one view. Some of the platform’s highlights include live-KPI dashboards, robust reporting, easy trips creation, real-time trips monitoring, Google Maps, IoT integration, with automated incident response alerts that were configured based on client-specific scenarios.

Vehicles tracking in real-time

"6,000+ fleets and drivers connected globally on a single platform, providing end-to-end, accurate supply chain visibility across every transportation mode, in real time."

Connected 6000+ fleets and drivers globally on Joget, providing end-to-end, accurate supply chain visibility across various transportation modes. Able to empower their customers with self-service capabilities, allowing them to easily create vehicle trips that has been templatized. Bulk importing for multiple trips creations has been simplified to just a few clicks

Able to maintain a comprehensive database of hauliers, along with their vehicle and driver's details, all in one place. Before approving each trip, they can now perform background checks, ensuring the selection of competent hauliers for their client's logistics. Live KPI dashboards and robust reporting tools drive easy extraction of essential logistics data for performance analysis, location intelligence insights, route optimization, future event predictions and decision-making

Employed stringent IP address-based access controls that restrict the app's usage to dedicated locations, the types of trips a user can access, monitor modes they can use, report types received. A customized user interface (UI) tailored to their branding brought a touch of personalization with color codes, icons, themes, typography, and a branded login screen

Google Maps integration made shipment tracking seamless from start to end. The 'MapView' feature provided a concise view of live or past trips. Our client's customers could also set up 'virtual geographic boundaries (Geofencing)' for precise tracking of vehicles entering/leaving the identified zones in real-time

The app was integrated with 3000+ GPS devices and IoT sensors (like panic buttons, door sensors, environmental sensors, etc.). By ensuring real-time freight tracking, they can now monitor drivers' locations, actions, vehicles' speed, conditions, travelling routes, stop locations, etc. Set up audiovisual alerts tied to SLAs, instantly notifying relevant personnel when specific incidents happened (e.g.: door sensor notifications, vehicles in restricted zones, deviations from pre-defined routes). This enabled immediate actions to remedy risk, delays, and operational concerns

Upon successful deliveries, drivers can update delivery status with the mobile app. Employees who work at the security center can stay in touch with them throughout each trip. Trained and built team of proficient Joget professionals from the client's team to ensure a positive user adoption and seamless transition with minimum disruption to the business
