Maynard has over thirty years’ experience in the healthcare industry across information technology, operations, strategic planning and government affairs. He has a proven track record in leadership, delivering enterprise transformation and overall technology/health plan operations management. He is the Co-founder of Mokxa Technologies, a Maryland-based global technology startup. In addition, he co-leads the company’s effort in global operations, government solutions as well as growth and expansion. Mokxa Technologies provides proprietary innovative solutions for enterprise and technology strategy, consumer engagement, business process management, and custom software development for clients in Asia, United States, Europe, Middle East and India. Maynard is also board member of Joget Inc., that serves over clients in over 150 countries with its GenAI application and integration fabric software that empowers enterprises to achieve digital transformation at speed and scale
Previously, Maynard served the COO for Versant Health (a MetLife company), one of the nation’s leading managed vision care companies serving over 39M members. His responsibilities included leading all business, technology, facilities and clinical operations for the company. Over his career, Maynard served in a variety of senior executive positions with Aetna, Highmark, Chartered Health Plan and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. Prior to his career in managed care, he served in the United States Navy for 10 years as a hospital corpsman. Maynard is also a veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
Maynard’s academic achievements include receiving his B.S. from Southern Illinois University, and later receiving his MBA and MSc. in Technology Management from University of Maryland University College. He has also completed a fellowship in managed care through AHIP/GW University as well as a fellowship in entrepreneurship through University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business.
Currently, Maynard serves on the Board of The Kennedy Krieger Institute, an internationally recognized institution focused on improving the lives of children, adolescents and adults with neurological, rehabilitative or developmental needs through inpatient and day hospital programs, outpatient clinics, home and community services, education, and research.
